THE DO'S BEFORE MARRIAGE

Welcome to another interesting edition of singles and almost married column, today we are going to be considering the DO’S before we get married; we know that there are some things we should do before we tie the nuptial knot, in our previous editions we've seen few things not to do before getting married. You guys will bear me witness that there are lots of things to do before getting married:
·        Building up your life spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally and financially.
We shall pick the above listed one after the other:
·        Spiritually

Before walking down the aisle with our heartthrob, we should check our life inwardly, it is usually said that man is a religious being. We need to ask ourselves some questions like: is God happy with my lifestyle? I’m I detached from him already? Did I really consult him before I said yes to Richard or to Amaka? Will I make a good wife or husband? Will my sweetheart distract me from loving God more or will he make my love for God stronger? All these and many others are what we should ask ourselves before saying ‘I do’. One big secret I must reveal to you, if your marriage is not built on God’s foundation it cannot work out, it may lead to divorce in the end so please singles think wisely before accepting that ring from him and consider your maker first. Put God first from the beginning of your relationship till you get married and still hold onto him to help you throughout your marriage journey because it is not an easy task o!

‘I don’t just like christy’ he said with a repelled look on his face
‘Me too’ replied Charles she’s too shabby in her appearance
‘She seems to care less about her dressing and hair’
‘Yes I never knew you noticed it too’
‘I just can’t marry a lady like that’
To be frank, single ladies, that is what young men would say about you when you fail to care about your physical appearance. Trust me it might just be christy’s lifestyle and she seems to care less about her looks maybe because of her non chalant attitude in that area. Even the bible says it that men look at the outward appearance while God look at the heart. In as much as God looks at the heart He won’t also tolerate shabbiness and dirtiness because there is a saying that cleanliness is next to Godliness. No guy wants to marry a scruffy looking lady. I’m not saying that you should go about naked or so noticeable in your make-up and hair do but you can be decent, very beautiful and attract the best of guys God wants for you. I specified ladies here because you are always the cynosure of the guys’ eyes but that is not to say that I’m sparing the guys. See guys we ladies know neat and attractive guys by their good dress scent and we admire them in our heart. Trust me we really do!
